A new stop has been added to Willie Nelson‘s second annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour, an October 21 event at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Founding Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s Phil Lesh & Friends project will be part of the lineup, along with tour headliners Willie Nelson & Family.
“I’m excited to play the Bowl with my old pal, Phil Lesh,” says Nelson in a statement. “I’m sure there will be some magical music moments for all the fans.”
Adds Lesh, “Willie is so American, you know, in the finest sense. Classic. I’ve hoped to get back on the stage with him again for a long time now.”

Other acts on the bill for the LA concert include acclaimed Americana artists Sturgill Simpson and Margo Price, as well as the respective bands led by Willie’s sons Lukas and Micah — Promise of the Real and Particle Kid.
The second leg of the 2018 Outlaw Music Festival Tour kicks off September 7 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and includes nine shows overall. Among the artists performing at select events are Van Morrison, Neil Young with Promise of the Real, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
In addition to the performances, the festival events showcase local cuisine and beer, as well as crafts from local artisans.
