The headliner for this week’s Friday Night Block Party is The Gravel Yard Band. Music and activities will begin at 7:00 Friday night on the courthouse square in Mountain Home. The event is free to the public, and all are welcome.
The Gravel Yard Band has been performing bluegrass music in the Ozarks for six years. Members include Joe Batterton, Mark Edwards and Art Kershaw.
Holy Smokes BBQ will be on hand, as well as Laura’s Mexican Kitchen of Yellville, and the Baxter County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes. Funnel cakes, fried pies, iced coffee and lemonade will also be available for purchase from concession vendors. Additionally, all attendees will have a chance to win door prizes during the bands intermission.
