The pre-school will be offered to school district employees at a discounted rate of $45 per week.

Long says the district has been working on ways to find incentives for employees other than just raises which, with the large number of employees the district has, can be a huge chunk of the budget.

In other business Monday night, the Mountain Home School board approved expenditures of $87,512 for site preparation and construction of the concrete slab for the green house. The board voted in May to purchase the green house with start up funds from the state. The green house allows Mountain Home schools to begin a new course in plant science. Dr. Long says the project should be operational by late September or early October.

The board also hired several employees. Click here to view the new hires and transfers.
