Day 2 schedule at Babe Ruth 13-year-old World Series

The Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series continues Friday at McClain Park, and the host team is looking to pick up where they left off the night before. Mountain Home continues division play as they meet Greater Portland, Maine, in the nightcap.

Both teams are currently 1-0 in the American Division. Mountain Home began the tournament Thursday by shutting out Bemidji, Minnesota. Greater Portland came into the Twin Lakes Area as the New England regional champions and picked up a three-run victory over West Louisville, Kentucky.

The first pitch on Pitts Field is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Harrison will be on the field prior to Mountain Home. The North Arkansas state champions will face Five Cities, California, at 5:30.

Action gets underway at noon between West Louisville, Kentucky, and Broomall-Newtown, Pennsylvania, and Greenville, North Carolina, takes on West Linn, Oregon, at 2:30.
