The headliner for this week’s Friday Night Block Party is Kickin Kountry. Music and activities will begin at 7:00 Friday night on the courthouse square in Mountain Home. The event is free to the public.

Kickin Kountry is a five-piece honky-tonk dance band out of Harrison playing a little bit of everything. Members include Duane Hoppis, Russell Joyner, Ronda Harp, J.R. (Gene) Massengale and Gary Van Meter.

Holy Smokes BBQ will be on hand, as well as Laura’s Mexican Kitchen of Yellville, and the Baxter County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes. Funnel cakes, fried pies, iced coffee and lemonade will also be available for purchase from concession vendors. In addition to the food vendors, Home Depot will be featuring a Kids Workshop. All attendees will have a chance to win door prizes during the band’s intermission.

This week’s block party sponsor is Danny Porter with Century 21 LeMac Reality.
