When registered voters in Mountain Home go to the polls to select a new mayor in the general election, they now know the order the three candidates will appear on the ballot for their consideration.
Ballot position drawings for municipal-level candidates in Baxter County were held Tuesday morning.
In the Mountain Home mayoral race, Dave Almond will appear first on the ballot, followed by Nancy Osmon and then Hillrey Adams. Mayor Joe Dillard is not seeking re-election to another term.
With regard to the two contested council seats, challenger Bob Van Haaren will appear first on the ballot, with incumbent Carl Graves second for the Ward 1, Position 1 seat.
For the Ward 2, Position 1 seat, challenger Clint Czeschin drew the top slot over incumbent Jennifer Baker.
At Cotter, McGeorge “Mac” Caradine will appear first on the ballot for mayor, with Roland Morris second. Mayor Peggy Hammack did not file for re-election.
For the Ward 1, Position 2 seat, Carolyn Gill’s name will appear first, with Nathan Buck’s second.
In the Ward 2, Position 1 seat, Charles “Chuck” Sugg drew the top position over Thurman Williams.
In the Ward 2, Position 2 race, Schuyler Brower took the top slot over incumbent John Bell.
And in the Ward 3, Position 2 seat, Wayne Alexander will appear first, with Richard Gipson second.
Earlier this month, ballot drawings were held for county, state and federal-level races.
In the lone county race for quorum court justice of the peace for District 8, challenger Shane Tilley drew the top slot over incumbent Edna Fusco.
