
Mountain Home had a good night in front of the home crowd on Thursday as they came away with four volleyball victories over Harrison.
The high school match needed all five sets, but the Lady Bombers were able to top the Lady Goblins with scores of 25-17, 25-16, 14-25, 23-25 and 15-11. Charlie Pierce led Mountain Home with 20 kills, Claudia Carter had nine kills and three blocks, Lea Jackson dished out 39 assists, Elaine Blackmon finished with 15 digs and four aces, and Grace Beckham added ten digs.
Mountain Home also won the lone junior varsity set. The J.V. Lady Bombers topped Harrison 25-19.
Mountain Home’s junior high teams won their matches in straight sets. The freshmen match ended with the Junior Lady Bombers beating Harrison 25-8 and 25-18. Kendall Carter led the way with ten kills, Tatum Smith recorded five aces, and Kiah Beard had six digs.
Mountain Home took the eighth grade match 25-15 and 25-13. Cat Jackson had five aces, and Lauren Wehmeyer had five aces and six digs.
