Friday Night Block Party welcomes MelodiKats

The headliner for this week’s Friday Night Block Party is The MelodiKats, featuring their new horn section. Music and activities will begin at 7:00 Friday night on the courthouse square in Mountain Home. In the event of rain, the event will be moved to Dunbar Auditorium on the Mountain Home High School campus. The event is free to the public.

The MelodiKats are a classic rock and pop hits cover band, playing songs by Steely Dan, Bonnie Raitt, Huey Lewis, The Doobie Brothers, Hall and Oates and more. Members include Tim Tucker, Mark Hopper, Randy Blades, Eddy King, Vonda King, Mike Walker, Tim Martin, Pete Adams, Rob Styer and Steve Kesler.

Holy Smokes BBQ will be on hand, and the Baxter County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes. Funnel cakes, fried pies, iced coffee and lemonade will also be available for purchase from concession vendors. All attendees will also have a chance to win door prizes during the band’s intermission.
