ABC/Paula LoboSheryl Crow‘s clothing line for HSN is very affordable, but when it comes to her own clothing, she’s not opposed to splurging now and then.

For example, despite the fact that Sheryl is actually friendly with The Rolling Stones, she tells People magazine that not long ago, she shelled out $200 for a vintage t-shirt from The Stones’ 1981 tour.

“Real old vintage t-shirts can be extremely expensive,” she says.  However, she admits, “That’s a lot to pay for a t-shirt, especially one that’s been worn for 20-something years by someone else.”

So why’d she do it?

“I love the history, and [The Rolling Stones] kind of wrote the book on what I do now,” she says of her own line, which she promoted today on HSN.

However, when it comes to one particular item, Sheryl’s cost-per-use is extremely low: She still has a pair of Dingo boots she got for Christmas when she was 15.

“I still have them and I still wear them and they are awesome,” the 56-year-old star tells People.

As for her new HSN collection, Sheryl says, “I’m finding that the women who buy my line, they tend to really love the specialty items. Which gives me the freedom to step it up a little bit and create things that have a little more edge and a little more fun to them.”
