Gaston, Heinsohn win Arvest/Ultimate Auto Charity Tourney

Isaac Gaston and Brad Heinsohn were crowned the winners of the Arvest Bank/Ultimate Auto Group Charity Golf Tournament Saturday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club. The duo won the tiebreaker over the team of Nick Coleman and Kirk Brown in the Championship Flight after both teams shot a 13-under-par 59 in the two-person scramble. Frank Davis and Tommy Strickland represented Stetson’s with an 11-under-par 61 to finish third.

Danny Ward and Van Gearhart represented KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot by winning the tiebreaker in the A Flight. Ward and Gearhart beat out Spencer and Glen Adams after both teams ended up with a seven-under-par 65. Holt Dye and Glenn Chamberlain took the tiebreaker for third place with Al Pearson and Randy Lunceford finishing fourth, and Matt and Paul Hooyer came away in fifth place. All three teams shot a six-under-par 66.

The leaderboard in the B Flight shows six teams shooting a three-under-par 69. Steve Smith and Travis Sullivan won the tiebreaker, Bill and ross Sansing ended up second, Kevin Gregory and Cotton Green of CLS took third place, Lang Zimmerman and John Sullivant represented Ultimate Auto Group by finishing fourth, Ricky and Brenden Johnson were fifth, and Robin Myers and Dave Johnson of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home ended up sixth.

Ron Peterson and Dan Decker of Baxter Regional Medical Center won the C Flight with a 73. Kerry Warford and Phillip Houle took the tiebreaker for second over Scott and Mike Parker after both teams ended up one stroke back.

The mixed championship was captured by Kenzie Collins and Preston Groesbeck with an eight-under-par 64. Brenda and Trent White were second with a six-under-par 66, and Bill and Phyllis Nay finished third with a four-under-par 68.
