Timothy Liveley of Henderson, who threatened to burn down his mother’s house, was given five years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Liveley was charged with terroristic threatening.

According to police reports, the 38-year-old Liveley and his girlfriend were at his mother’s residence in early August. While at the residence, Liveley was said to have become angry, cursed his mother and made other threats. At one point, Liveley threw a sleeping bag under the mother’s vehicle and told her he was going to set it on fire. He said he was then going to burn down her house.

The mother reported Liveley and his girlfriend eventually left her residence. Liveley sent his mother a text message after departing the residence threatening to have someone assault her.

When arrested, Liveley was reported to be at his girlfriend’s house hiding in a bedroom. The girlfriend allegedly said she saw and heard the confrontation between Liveley and his mother.
