John Oates releases live EP in advance of new run of solo tour dates

PS RecordsFollowing the release this past February of his Americana-inspired solo album Arkansas, Hall & Oates singer John Oates has put out a new live EP featuring performances of some of the songs from the studio effort.

John Oates with The Good Road Band — Live is a five-track collection featuring four tunes recorded during his recent solo a trek, as well as re-edited studio version of his cover of the traditional song “Pallet Soft and Low” that appears on Arkansas.

In the coming weeks, Oates will launch a new series of tour dates with The Good Road Band, a collective of respected Nashville session musicians who also played on Arkansas. He recently added several shows to his U.S. itinerary, which currently includes about 20 concerts, from a a September 14 performance in Pittsburgh through a January 19, 2019, gig in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Oates and his Good Road Band also will play a few shows in Ireland and the U.K. in mid-October.

In addition, he and Daryl Hall have a pair of concerts scheduled on November 16 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and November 17 in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
