A woman found passed out in her vehicle at the junction of Highways 126 South and 62/412 August 15th resulted in her arrest and an appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The 51-year-old Darcy DeAnn James of Clarkridge pled guilty to charges stemming from the incident and was sentenced to five years probation.
According to the affidavit, when officers made contact with James, they observed in plain view a clear plastic big containing a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, along with a clear glass pipe sitting on her lap, while she was asleep.
James was sentenced under the provisions of Act 346, meaning if she stays out of trouble during her probation period, she can apply to the court to have her record sealed.
