St. Louis’ annual LouFest music festival won’t happen this year. Organizers have announced that the event, the lineup of which included Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and his current band The Sensational Space Shifters, as well as Michael McDonald, has been canceled, just days before it was supposed to take place this Saturday and Sunday.

In a statement released Wednesday morning, festival organizers listed several reasons for the cancellation, including the sudden loss of two top sponsors and other financial issues.

Plant and the Space Shifters had been slated to headline the festival on Sunday, September 9, and McDonald also was scheduled to perform that day. The 2018 LouFest bill also featured alternative rockers Modest Mouse and The Head and the Heart, country singer Kacey Musgraves, blues rocker Gary Clark Jr., rapper T-Pain and many others.
