Danny ClinchOn Wednesday, we got our first look at the new lineup of Fleetwood Mac — on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The band, which almost never performs on TV, showed up to play two classics for Ellen’s audience: “The Chain” and “Gypsy.” Stevie Nicks also introduced the band’s two new members — Crowded House frontman Neil Finn and former Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell — and noted that they’re all heading out on tour “really soon.”
As previously reported, Finn and Campbell were brought in to replace longtime Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, who left the band in April. In May, he said his departure was, “not something that was really my doing or my choice.”
Ellen also announced that everyone in the audience would receive two tickets to the band’s show in Los Angeles; the show is also giving away tickets to every show on the tour via its website, EllenTube.com.
Fleetwood Mac’s tour kicks off October 3 in Tulsa, OK and will wrap up in April 2019. Buckingham’s solo tour begins October 7 in Portland, Oregon.
