The annual Baxter County Fair Parade is set for Wednesday evening through downtown Mountain Home. The parade starts at 5:30 at Long Chiropractic on Hospital Drive. The route then goes south on Highway 5 to Main Street, then south on Main Street to Guy Berry School where the parade ends.

Parade Chairperson Janie Edmonds-Lewis says all entrants must be in line for judging by 5:15. No registration is required to participate in the fair parade.

All participants are asked to enter the staging area from either Bucher Drive or Buttercup so Hospital Drive can stay open for emergency traffic.

Those with political floats or cars are asked to enter from Bucher Drive and line up at the corner of Burnett and Beard streets. Fire trucks will enter on Hospital Drive and line up at the Medical Plaza. Floats should meet at First Methodist Church on Bucher Drive for assembly and line up at the corner of Burnett and Buttercup. Horses, bicycles and other participants should meet at Cardiovascular Associates at the corner of West Road and Buttercup. Baby contest winners from 2017 should meet at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Highway 5 North. This year’s fair pageant winners should assemble at First United Methodist Church then go as a group to in front of Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Marching bands need to meet at First Security Bank at the corner of Highway 5 North and Hospital Drive.

Anyone with questions can call Edmonds-Lewis at 870-421-3714.
