SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Springfield police say a man and woman went to the
movies together hours before the man was found dead in his pickup truck.

And the 33-year-old woman, Christina Duckett, is now charged with killing him.

Duckett was charged Thursday with second-degree murder and armed criminal
action in death of 40-year-old Joshua Brooks of Republic. Brooks was found dead
from a gunshot wound Monday inside the truck.

The Springfield News-Leader reports a probable cause statement about the
shooting does not include a clear motive for the shooting.

Duckett is being held in the Greene County Jail on $250,000 bond. She does not
have an attorney listed for this case.
