Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed September Arkansas Hunger Action Month, and locally the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas (NCA) is challenging residents to take action against hunger and poverty.
Food Bank of NCA President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Quick says the organization is excited by the announcement by Governor Hutchinson.

The biggest event the Food Bank of NCA organizes is the annual Bridge Bash, now in its eighth year.
Food Bank of NCA Development Officer Susan Stockton says part of the reason Bridge Bash has continued over the years is the community support, and this year several area business are hosting give-back nights in honor of the event.

The eighth annual Bridge Bash event is set for September 22nd on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
