A woman, who listed a Little Rock address when arrested recently, was in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday where she entered a guilty plea to a number of drug-related charges.
Thirty-four-year-old Jolynn Mandel was given six years probation. Her charges included possession of methamphetamine.
Mandel made a fairly quick trip through the court system. She was arrested September 6th and sentenced about two weeks later.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Gassville police officers were patrolling near what they described as a “known drug house.” They saw a silver van pull out of the residence and travel at a high rate of speed in an apparent attempt to avoid contact with police.
A traffic stop was initiated and Mandel, who was a passenger in the van, was found to be in possession of a number of drugs and drug-related items, including three plastic bags containing methamphetamine, two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes, a number of prescription medications, syringes and a set of digital scales.
