Charles Gillingham of rural Mountain Home wasted little time entering a guilty plea and being sentenced for possession of methamphetamine.
The plea came during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday. Gillingham was put on probation for three years.
The 34-year-old Gillingham was arrested Sept. 14th and sentenced just 13 days later after admitting his guilt.
He was arrested when the vehicle he was driving exited a convenience store and had the misfortune to pull directly into the path of a Mountain Home police patrol car. In addition, Gillingham was not wearing a seatbelt.
The officer pulled Gillingham over and found a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance in the watch pocket of his pants, which Gillingham himself identified as methamphetamine.
