This October, during Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas (NCA) will be participating in the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® national #FindYourFido initiative, a campaign focused on harnessing social media to expand awareness of adoptable shelter dogs and help them find safe and loving homes in the community.
To encourage local supporters to #FindYourFido, the Humane Society of NCA will have a new dog of the day. Each new dog of the day will be featured on Facebook and in the shelter with a brightly colored tag on the kennel. If that dog gets adopted that day, the adopter will receive a $25 discount on the adoption fee.
The ASPCA estimates approximately 3.3 million dogs enter U.S. animal shelters every year, where they sit waiting to be adopted into a loving home.
Humane Society of NCA encourages people to help support their participation in the ASPCAs #FindYourFido campaign by:
-Helping dogs find homes by becoming a digital ambassador. Simply share profiles of adoptable dogs from the HSNCA website at humanesocietyofnca.org or by visiting the shelter’s Facebook page at facebook.com/HSofNCA/.
