
It’s week seven of the high school football season in Arkansas, and for Mountain Home, it’s the longest road trip of the season. The Bombers will head toward the Mississippi River to face Marion.
Mountain Home is currently 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in the 6A-East. The Bombers fell to Jacksonville last week at Homecoming. Marion is 4-2 and 1-2. The Patriots are coming off a two-touchdown loss at Searcy.
Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says the Bombers are looking forward to another tough road challenge.

Kickoff at Patriot Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Coverage begins around 5:30 with the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday.
Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy hosts Pine Bluff, Jonesboro travels to West Memphis, and Jacksonville entertains Sylvan Hills.
Yellville-Summit returns to conference play by meeting one of the top teams in Class 3A. The Panthers will be on the road to take on Clinton.
Yellville-Summit is 1-5 on the year and 0-2 in the 3A-2. The Panthers stepped outside of the league last week and suffered a loss at Rector. Clinton is currently ranked second in Class 3A by the Arkansas Sports Media. The Yellowjackets are 5-0 and 2-0 following their nine-point win at Melbourne two weeks ago.
Kickoff at Jim Tumlinson Field is set for 7:00.
Also in the 3A-2, Melbourne is home against Harding Academy, and Marshall makes the trip to Mountain View.
Elsewhere on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem heads to Marked Tree, and Harrison travels to Greenbrier.
There is one matchup between teams ranked in the Arkansas Sports Media top ten. Fourth-ranked Conway hosts No. 5 Fort Smith Northside.
Week eight in Missouri marks the next-to-last week of the regular season. Among area schools, West Plains entertains Springfield Central, Hollister is home against Logan-Rogersville, Forsyth hosts Strafford, Branson heads to Carl Junction, Ava travels to Cabool, Willow Springs entertains Thayer, Mountain View-Liberty makes the trip to Salem, Missouri, and Mountain Grove is home against Houston.
