The Mountain Home High School volleyballl team wrapped up its regular season with a straight set victory on Thursday. The Lady Bombers defeated Marion 25-20, 25-21 and 25-14 on Senior Night at the Hangar.
Charlie Pierce led Mountain Home with 11 kills, Anna Grace Foreman and Claudia Carter added eight kills each, and Leah Jackson dished out 31 assists.
The Lady Bombers are 16-7 overall, and they ended up 8-6 to finish fourth in the 5A-East. Mountain Home’s first match in the Class 5A State Tournament will be October 23rd at Jonesboro.
Mountain Home’s freshmen squad also defeated Marion in straight sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-19. The Junior Lady Bombers ended up 15-6 on the year and 6-5 in the league, and they’ll play Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the 5A-East District Tournament on the campus of Douglas MacArthur Junior High School in Jonesboro.
