
A display of the art of the late Mildred Pitchford opens Saturday at the Calico Rock Museum.
In memory of Pitchford and her love for painting, the museum and the Pitchford family will share the legacy of her art from Saturday through October 26th from 10:00 until 4:00.
Pitchford was 94 when she died January 11th, 2016. She loved her farm, her paintings and her family. She was self-taught in her painting.
She was married to Floyd Pitchford on February 4th, 1939 in Cotter.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Vicki Pitchford of Mountain Home; granddaughter Valerie Pitchford; and grandson Luke Pitchford and wife Jessica, all of Mountain Home; and three great-grandchildren.
