Marion County authorities have arrested a Harrison woman, 37-year-old Sarah Breger, in connection with an incident in which she is alleged to have entered the home of a Pyatt man during his absence, accessed his computer and amended his password and accounts.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday, the Pyatt man said he befriended Breger in early April, helping her with food, money and transportation. She was also welcome at his home along Milum Circle.

The man said he became suspicious of Breger when a nearby resident alerted him the Harrison woman had been coming to his house when he was not there and letting herself into the home.

After being told of Breger’s visits when he was not home, the Marion County man noticed a camera and computer notebook missing and confronted the Harrison woman. She denied taking the items, and he banned her from his property.

An investigation revealed Breger allegedly changed the access and password of the Pyatt man’s PayPal account and used her own telephone number as the contact on or about April 8th. The man’s photo remained on the account.

Breger is alleged to have conducted transactions on five different days on the man’s account.

She has been charged with a felony count of computer fraud, along misdemeanor counts of theft of property and financial or non-financial identity fraud.

Breger’s bond was set at $10,000.
