With the general election less than a month away, KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot will have a new set of political forums this week. The forums are set for Tuesday and Friday mornings beginning around 9:10 on KTLO-FM 97.9 and streaming live at ktlo.com, and all forums will be on races in the city of Mountain Home.
Tuesday’s forum will feature the candidates for Mountain Home mayor. The election will be a three-candidate race including retired postmaster Hillrey Adams and current city council members Dave Almond and Nancy Osmon. The winner will succeed Joe Dillard who is not seeking re-election.
The forums for the city council races are set for Friday. Incumbent Ward 1, Position 1 council member Carl Graves is being challenged for his seat by Bob Van Haaren. Jennifer Baker is the current alderman for Ward 2, Position 1, and she’s being challenged by Clint Czeschin.
