A Mountain Home man has become $380,000 richer. According to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, Thomas Bedran ended up with the winning ticket in the Natural State Jackpot.
Bedran had purchased the ticket at Snappy Mart on State Highway 5. He was working in New Orleans Thursday when he heard someone bought the winning ticket at Snappy Mart. Bedran contacted a friend in Mountain Home to share the news and tell him to check his tickets, but the friend was not the winner.
Bedran says he returned to work and later decided to check his numbers. He contacted Snappy Mart, and when the clerk read the numbers, he realized all of his matched. Bedran owns Tom’s Door and Glass in Mountain Home. He says he plans to buy a new truck for his business and spoil his grandchildren at Christmas.
Snappy Mart will receive a 1 percent commission from the sale of the winning ticket.
