Basketball makes up the local Saturday schedule as the Twin Rivers Classic comes to an end at Norfork. Action tips off at 11 a.m. with a boys’ game between the host Panthers and St. Joe, Shirley’s girls meet Marmaduke at 12:30, Flippin’s boys face Shirley at 2:00, Cotter takes on Timbo for a doubleheader at 3:30, and Norfork plays back-to-back games against Alpena at 6:30.
The Bad Boy Mowers Classic will wrap up at Izard County High School in Brockwell. Two games are on the final day as Bradford plays a doubleheader against Dermott starting with the girls’ contest at noon.
Three schools will begin action in the Bill McCurley Sloan-Hendrix Junior Invitational Tournament at Imboden. In boys’ games, Viola meets Tuckerman at 10:15, Mammoth Spring faces the host Junior Greyhounds at 2:00, and Izard County takes on Maynard at 3:15. On the girls’ bracket, Mammoth Spring plays Tuckerman at 11:30, and Viola and Izard County tip off at 12:45.
