The Lions came into the game averaging 34 points per game but they nearly doubled that in a 61-20 victory. Searcy scored on their first nine possessions with the tenth possession ending as the clock ran out to end the game. Quarterback Peyton Wright picked apart the Mountain Home defense and threw five touchdown passes while running for another. Running back Johnson Guthrie ran for three touchdowns.

It was the Bombers who struck first in the contest when Dawson Tabor broke free for a 41-yard touchdown run on the game’s opening possession. But the Lions would reel off 21 straight points to answer. Tabor added a 1-yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter but it was the Lions who led 34-12 at half time.

The Bombers final score came on a 2-yard run by Hunter Schad that was set up by a 43 yard scamper by Gage Hershberger.

Searcy improves to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the 6A East Conference. Mountain Home falls to 0-9 and 0-6. The Bombers host West Memphis Thursday night for their final game of the season.
