
Portions of the Twin Lakes Area have experienced higher-than-normal turnout after the first week of early voting in Arkansas.
Marion County reported 894 residents have cast an early ballot through Saturday. Marion County and Circuit Clerk Dawn Moffet says 43 voters showed up on the weekend, which is an unusually high amount for a Saturday.
In Fulton County, 975 residents had taken part in early voting through Saturday. Fulton County and Circuit Clerk Vickie Bishop says turnout is high but expected since there is a race for county judge, and a school election is included on the November ballot for the Mammoth Spring School District.
Izard County ended up with 733 early voters through Saturday.
Early voting continues through Monday. Election Day is scheduled for next Tuesday.
