The Mountain Home High School cross country teams finished their season Friday by taking part in the Arkansas State Meet.
The Bombers went home as the runners-up in the Class 5A boys’ race with Lake Hamilton taking home the title. Whit Lawrence led Mountain Home with a fifth place finish individually, Andrew Westphal took 11th place, Bob Allen was 18th, and Jacob Pyeatt ended up 20th. All four are representing the Bombers on the All-State team.
Mountain Home ended up in fourth place on the girls’ side. Siloam Springs won the championship followed by Jonesboro and Vilonia. Marcie Cudworth was the Lady Bombers’ top runner as she finished third and was given a bronze medal and an All-State selection.
