In high school basketball Thurday night, in girl’s action, Norfork ran past Cotter 79-30. The Lady Panthers are now 5-1 while the Lady Warriors fall to 1-4.
The Rural Special girls suffered their first defeat, falling to Wonderview 62-50. The Lady Rebels are now 5-1.
In junior high hoops, Flippin and Izard County split a pair of games. Izard County won the junior boy’s contest 56-29 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Gunner Gleghorn pumped in 30 points for Izard County while Denton Reily added 10.
In the junior girl’s game, Flippin topped Izard County 35-25. Allison Newman scored 11 points for the Junior Lady Cougars.
