
A few area high school football teams in Missouri watched their season come to an end Saturday.
West Plains was bounced from the Class 4 State Quarterfinals after falling to Ladue Horton Watkins 26-0 in Kirkwood. West Plains’ final record is 12-1.
Ava suffered the same fate in the Class 2 State Quarterfinals with a 35-30 loss at Lamar. The Bears end the 2018 campaign at 11-2.
Home field advantage was not able to help Thayer remain alive in the Class 1 State Playoffs as they were beaten by Hayti 46-12. The Bobcats end the season at 8-5.
