In high school basketball Monday night, the Norfork boys lost to Timbo 49-46. The Panthers fall to 8-8 while the Tigers improve to 12-2.

Viola split their games against county rival Mammoth Spring. The Bears pulled out a 56-54 win in the boy’s contest to improve to 3-6 on the season. Jacob Golden and Alex Mero each scored 14 and Zack Flynn added 11 for Mammoth Spring. The Longhorns fall to 7-5.
Viola won the girl’s game 63-57 to improve to 9-1. Mammoth Spring, who was lead by the 27 points from Stephanie Henry, falls to 5-3.

Izard County won both of their senior high games at Western Grove. The Cougars ran their record to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the 1A-2 Conference with a 68-47 win over Western Grove, using a 19-4 fourth quarter to pull away for the win. Justus Cooper had a monster night for Izard County with 29 points and 20 rebounds while Coby Everett added 17.
Izard County won the girl’s game 39-25 to improve to 6-3 overall and 2-2 in league play. Ashlynn Bratcher finished with 12 points and Bethany Simmons scored 10.
Western Grove won the junior girl’s contest 28-24.

The Flippin girls fell to Jasper 38-34. The Lady Bobcats are now 0-5 while the Lady Pirates improve to 8-1.

In other boy’s action:
-Valley Springs improved to 12-0 by thumping Rose Bud 52-18.
-Omaha whipped Lead Hill 65-35. The Eagles are 4-6 while the Tigers fall to 1-10.

In girl’s games:
-Valley Springs downed Rose Bud 58-41 to improve to 10-3.
-Omaha knocked off Lead Hill 64-53. The Lady Eagles are 6-6 while the Lady Tigers fall to 6-7.

In junior high basketball, Mountain Home lost four of six games played against Harrison.
The Junior Bombers lost 41-26. Dodge Harris led the scoring with 9 points.
Mountain Home won the 8th grade boy’s game 28-24.
Mountain Home also won the 7th grade boy’s contest 26-22. Braiden Dewey paced Mountain Home with 14 points while Hendrix Hughes scored 10.
In girl’s action, Harrison won the 9th grade game 44-37. Annie Norcross paced the Junior Lady Bombers with 19 points and Abigail Hodges added 12.
Harrison won the 8th grade girl’s game 30-24.
In the 7th grade girl’s game, Harrison edged Mountain Home 36-35. The 7th Grade Lady Bombers got 13 points each from Parker Huskey and Ashlyn Estes.
