MHHS basketball teams to play at Russellville Thursday

Basketball makes up the local Thursday schedule as the Mountain Home High School teams play their final games before the Christmas holiday. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will be on the road as they meet Russellville.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 6-3 on the season. The Lady Bombers are coming off a 12-point win over Bentonville West on Friday.
The Mountain Home boys are 2-6. The Bombers fell to Bentonville West by five to wrap up the previous week.
The junior varsity games tip off at 5 p.m. at Cyclone Arena. The varsity contests begin around 6:00 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.

Two local schools will continue action in the Bradleyville Invitational Tournament. Bakersfield’s boys tip off at 3:00 against Gloria Deo Academy, and the Lady Lions face Lutie at 4:30. The Lutie boys take on the host Eagles at 6:00.

Three area girls’ teams will be in Jonesboro for their first games in the 72nd-annual NEA Basketball Tournament. Viola plays Mammoth Spring at 3:00, and Izard County will be paired with Marmaduke at 4:30.

In other high school basketball, Dora hosts Koshkonong, and Marshall travels to Clinton.

On the junior high level, Flippin’s boys entertain Batesville, and Mammoth Spring makes the trip to Imboden to take on Sloan-Hendrix.
