Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule as the North Arkansas College Invitational Senior High Tournament wraps up its quarterfinal round. In girls’ action, Omaha and Jasper tip off at 4 p.m., and Valley Springs faces Kingston at 6:20. On the boys’ bracket, Marshall meets Deer at 5:20, and Western Grove takes on Jasper at 8:00.
Gainesville’s girls will begin action in the Sparta Lady Trojan Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs will be paired with Verona at 7:00.
In other high school basketball, Flippin hosts Lead Hill, and the Dora girls travel to Mountain Grove.
Three of Mountain Home’s junior high squads will be in Jonesboro to play Douglas MacArthur. The eighth grade boys’ game tips off at 4:30 followed by both freshmen contests.
Elsewhere, Cotter entertains Bruno-Pyatt, and Viola makes the trip to Mammoth Spring.
