Courtesy of Rock & BrewsWith the U.S. government embroiled in an extended partial shutdown, KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have announced that their Rock & Brews restaurants will offer free food to every Transportation Security Administration employee who is working without pay during the shutdown.

“We are proud to operate restaurants at airports and respect the diligent, hard work of each and every TSA employee to ensure the safety of travelers,” Simmons and Stanley say in a joint statement. “They touch our lives daily, and as long as they are working without pay, the least we can do is provide them with a delicious meal to show our support.”

TSA workers who present their ID card at participating Rock & Brews restaurants will receive their choice of a free Pulled Pork sandwich or a Strawberry Fields salad. The offer, which is good for one meal per day, will remain in effect until the employees start getting paid again.

Rock & Brews franchises located at airports, arenas and casinos are not taking part in the initiative because of security limitations.

As previously reported, KISS kicks off its End of the Road farewell tour on January 31 in Vancouver, Canada.
