MH gets swept at Nettleton

Friday was a rough night for the Mountain Home High School basketball teams as they were swept by Nettleton in Jonesboro.

The Bomber boys ended up falling to the Raiders 64-50. In the first half, it looked as if the game might go down to the wire. There were a total of ten lead changes and six ties. However, Nettleton went on a 9-0 run in the third quarter, and they took over from there. The Raiders built a double digit advantage and went on to win by 14.
Luke Kruse led Mountain Home with 16 points, and Wyatt Gilbert added 15. For Nettleton, Kevin Fulton scored 17 points, Jarquavious Cain had 16, and Kortez Hamilton chipped in 12.
The Bombers drop to 6-11 on the season and 1-4 in the 5A-East. The Raiders improves to 10-4 and 4-1.

Mountain Home’s girls did not fare any better as they lost to Nettleton 56-39. The Lady Bombers struggled in the early going as they were held to two points in the opening quarter. The Lady Raiders continued to increase their lead as they went into the locker room up 15. Mountain Home looked like they were about to cut the margin to single digits, but Nettleton held them off as they posted the 17-point victory.
No one was in double figures for the Lady Bombers. The Lady Raiders were led by Elauna Eaton with 21 points.
Mountain Home falls to 10-8 overall and 2-3 in the league. Nettleton is now 16-1 and 5-0.

Mountain Home will return to the Hangar on Tuesday as they meet Searcy.
