NEWPORT, Ark. (AP) – Authorities say an Arkansas man has been sentenced to 60
years in prison after pleading guilty to the fatal stabbing of his pregnant
wife.

Prosecutor Henry Boyce says 41-year-old Rickey Crawford Jr. of Campbell Station
pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder for the November 2017 attack
on his wife, 33-year-old Amanda Crawford.

Authorities say Amanda Crawford was found dead in her home from multiple stab
wounds and that her unborn child also died.

Boyce says Rickey Crawford will not be eligible for early release because of
his past criminal history.

He says Amanda Crawford’s family agreed to the plea deal to avoid a trial.
