A Mountain Home man who picked up drug-related charges during two traffic stops entered a guilty plea to those charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Retired Circuit Judge David Laser of Jonesboro, sitting for Judge Gordon Webb, sentenced 40-year-old Jeremy Lee Thorgensen to five years in prison.
Thorgensen was caught up in traffic stops in January and November last year. In both instances, drugs were found, including methamphetamine, various pills available only with a prescription and marijuana.
At the time of the November 2018 stop, it was noted Thorgensen was already on probation from an earlier conviction.
The state dismissed the revocation of a suspended sentence handed down in a 2014 drug case. Thorgensen was put on probation for six years after pleading guilty to charges in the earlier case.
