MH FBLA students take honors at District VI conference

Fifteen Mountain Home Future Business Leaders of America students competed and qualified for state during the District VI spring conference earlier this month. In addition, Shelby Williams was elected District VI FBLA president, state vice president and the highest honor of Who’s Who in FBLA.

The conference was held on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.

First place winners and their area of competition included Allie Parsons, talent show; Carsen Cotter, accounting II; Parsons and Sophie Quick, hospitality management; Chloe Nosari, impromptu speaking; Michelle Edavettal, intro to financial math; Madelyn Lynch, intro to public speaking; Leah Dewey, job interview; and Ashton Kincade, public service announcement.

Second place winners and their area of competition included Taylor Schumacker, business law; and Tanner Burnham, Ava Strack, Rachel Walden and Anna Rogero, parliamentary procedures.

Gracie Patterson took a sixth place honor for political science.
