The superintendent of the Ozark Mountain School District, Jayme Jones, and Bergman Middle School Principal Sarah Alexander are two of the three finalists for the position of superintendent at Bergman. Ozark Mountain is a consolidated district with campuses at Bruno-Pyatt, Western Grove and St. Joe.
The Harrison Daily Times reports the other finalist for the superintendent’s position at Bergman is Brett Bunch, superintendent at Magazine in Logan County.
The three finalists were selected from a field of six recommended candidates by the consulting group McPherson and Jacobson LLC.
The district received applications from 20 educators who want to take the districts helm from Joe Couch, who has been superintendent since 2005.
Interviews are scheduled for last Thursday and Tuesday evening. Parents, teachers and other citizens will get to meet the finalists and submit their input to the board.
The board plans to announce the new superintendent as soon as all three finalists have been interviewed.
