MHHS continues conference play at Greene County Tech

Basketball makes up much of the local Tuesday schedule as Mountain Home’s high school teams return to the city of Paragould. Conference play continues for the Bombers and Lady Bombers as they face Greene County Tech.
The Mountain Home girls are 12-9 on the season and 4-4 in the 5A-East after suffering a three-point loss Friday at Jonesboro. Tech is 9-10 and 2-6 after getting beat up by Nettleton. The Lady Bombers won the first matchup over the Lady Eagles 56-48 in overtime on January 8th.
Mountain Home’s boys are 7-13 overall and 2-6 in the league as they come off a loss at Jonesboro. Tech is 14-6 and 3-5 after falling to Nettleton. The Bombers were edged out by the Golden Eagles 67-63 nearly a month ago.
The junior varsity games tip off at 5 p.m. The varsity contests will begin around 6:00 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Elsewhere in the 5A-East, Searcy travels to West Memphis, Jonesboro makes the trip to Paragould, and Nettleton heads to Marion.

In other high school basketball, Cotter hosts Mount Judea, Norfork entertains Marshall, Flippin travels to Yellville-Summit, Bruno-Pyatt makes the trip to Timbo, the Bakersfield boys are home against Alton, Gainesville’s boys host Fordland, Lutie entertains Riverview Christian, the Dora girls are home against Seymour, Viola heads to Green Forest, Mammoth Spring hosts Couch, Izard County entertains Tuckerman, Melbourne travels to Mountain View, St. Joe’s boys make the trip to South Side-Bee Branch, Rural Special heads to Pangburn, Lead Hill is home against Kingston, Valley Springs hosts Western Grove for Senior Night, and the Omaha boys travel to Hollister.

Mountain Home’s freshmen squads will be on the road as they go up against Paragould. The girls’ game tips off at 5:00 followed by the boys’ contest.
