Tuesday hoops results include Izard County boys with impressive win

In high school basketball Tuesday night, Izard County split their games at home against Tuckerman.
The Cougars, ranked number 1 in class 1A continued to roll with a 73-37 win over one of the top class 3A teams. Dylan Tharp and Justus Cooper led the way with 19 points each and Caleb Faulkner scored 13. The Izard County boys are 32-4 while Tuckerman falls to 29-5.
Tuckerman won the girl’s game 39-29. The Lady Cougars fall to 19-15.

Mammoth Spring won both of their games at home over Couch.
The Lady Bears were 64-21 winners to improve to 12-14 on the season. Terra Godwin led the balanced attack with 19 points, Stephine Henry had 17 and Lauren Mitchell added 13.
Mammoth Spring won the boy’s game over Couch 67-40. Daniel Mayfield paced the Bears with 19 points, Deven Cray scored 14, Zack Flynn had 12 and Jacob Golden added 11 points as the Bears up their record to 18-14.

The Norfork teams swept Marshall.
The Lady Panthers improved to 27-4 with a 63-33.
Norfork won the boy’s game 61-58 to move their record to 14-17.

Flippin and Yellville-Summit split their 2A-1 Conference games.
The Panthers won the boy’s contest 69-41 to improve to 14-6. The Bobcats fall to 20-12.
Flippin prevailed in the girl’s game 65-24. The Lady Bobcats are now 8-18 while the Lady Panthers fall to 6-16.

Viola swept Green Forest.
The Lady Longhorns ran their record to 27-5 with a 60-30 win.
Viola won the boy’s game over Green Forest 61-26 to improve to 18-13.

The Mountain Home Christian Academy won a pair of games over Ozark Christian Academy in West Plains.
The Eagles took the varsity boy’s game 93-43. Mat Woods led the onslaught with 32 points and Caleb Spray scored 19.
Mountain Home Christian Academy won the 14U boy’s game 68-43. Trenton Cox paced the Eagles with 21 points and Jordan Woods scored 13.
