
The Norfork High School girl’s bowling team, for the third year in a row, has finished as state runners up. The Lady Panthers were second Thursday at the 3A/2A/1A State Bowling Tournament at Fort Smith.
Two Lady Panthers earned all-state honors based on their performance. Hannah Bradbury shot a 434 series and Whitlee Layne rolled a 431. Other scores for Norfork included Riley Moody with a 402 series and Kailey Payne with a 401.
On the boy’s side, Norfork finished 6th. Tyler Sorters was the Panthers’ top bowler with a 513 series, just one pin away from earning all-state honors. Russell Salyer rolled a 499 series.
