As the city of Mountain Home prepares for a new youth baseball league, local residents will have an opportunity to learn more. A public meeting is scheduled for Monday evening at 6:00 in the council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.

Citizens will be able to ask questions about the new league to Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams and representatives from the Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Department. The city announced the formation of the new league earlier this month, after the current league decided to move to an academy style where players will have four-to-five weeks of instruction in baseball fundamentals, followed by four-to-five of inter-squad games with no umpires.

In addition to the question and answer session, registration forms will be available for anyone interested in signing up.
