The Calico Rock Museum and Visitor Center has announced the addition of its new mobile application. The app is titled “Welcome to Calico Rock.”
The app will allow users to go on a virtual tour of the Calico Rock Museum and the East Calico Historic District. Users can also explore and contact every business licensed to operate by the city of Calico Rock. Visitors can also earn badges and go on a scavenger hunt through the museum.
Two short videos on Calico Rock are available on the app, and one video was produced by the U.S. Farm Report for the American Countryside national television broadcast. According to a press release from the museum, a recent visitor from Iowa called the museum to learn more about Calico Rock and was given directions on downloading the app. Within a few minutes, the visitor had all the information necessary to plan a trip to the Izard County town in March.
