Credit: Machado CicalaCher has joined the lineup of the upcoming special VH1 Trailblazer Honors, airing Friday, March 8, on both VH1 and Logo.
Cher will present an award to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, one of several women being honored during the special.
It’s not Cher’s first time encountering the Speaker of the House. When she received the Kennedy Center Honors in December, she tweeted, “KCH Show Was Unbelievable. I Sat Between Nancy PELOSI & [fellow honoree, composer] Phillip GLASS.”
The other honorees on the show include Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay, The Handmaid’s Tale author Margaret Atwood and #MeToo founder Tarana Burke.
The one-hour special airs on International Women’s Day, March 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
