
The Baxter County Historical and Geneological Society will meet Tuesday evening at 6:00 in the Knox Room of the Donald W. Reynolds Library. Kevin Pieper will be the featured speaker as he presents “Connecting Through Photography.”
Pieper is a North Central Arkansas resident and a national award-winning photographer, writer and speaker with more than 25 years experience. He is also a biologist, and he has spent his life using photography and the written word to explore and illuminate the connections shared between humans and other forms of life.
Pieper also produces editorial content on subjects including adventure, personality profiles, human interest pieces and trending topics. In addition, he offers fine art and archival prints of his work, and he often presents slide shows to clubs, schools and corporate events.
Pieper has published his work in Reader’s Digest, several National Geographic publications, Mother Earth News, the New York Times, USA Today and other national publications. Some of his books and fine prints will be available for sale at the meeting. His photographic work can also be found online at pieperphoto.com.
The Baxter County Historical and Geneological Society meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are free and open to the public.
