
The Mountain Home High School softball and baseball teams opened their seasons Tuesday with wins at home.
The Lady Bombers got strong pitching in a 14-1 five inning win over Springdale. Lauren Loving allowed just three hits in four innings to get the win. Reagan Hasselwander struck out three in one inning of work. The Lady Bombers rapped out 10 hits in the contest.
Mountain Home topped Springdale in the J.V. game 13-2. Kinsey Raley struck out four and gave up two hits in three innings of work and Tori Ross allowed no hits in two innings in the circle.
The Baseball Bombers cruised to a 10-0 five inning win over Prairie Grove behind the pitching of Trey Jordan. Jordan threw the shutout, allowing just five hits, striking out seven and walking none.
Mountain Home jumped on Prairie Grove early with a six run first inning. Garrett Steelman, Luke Jackson and Austin Mize each drove in runs in the first frame. Steelman, Luke Kruse and Will Gross each had multiple hits in the contest.
